Conditioning Drills

All players form a circle around the coach. Players begin by shuffling in a clockwise direction for 1 minute. After each shuffle, the group does one exercise; first exercise - 20 push-ups. Then the group shuffles for one minute the other way; second exercise - 40 crunches. The group then does cross over steps for one minute, followed by the third exercise - 15 frog jumps. Next, the group crosses over the other direction; fourth exercise - 15 kangaroo jumps. Finally, the group slides to the left; exercise - leg lifts. The group slides right; exercise - scissor kicks.

Volley Lunges: Players begin on one side and do pretend volley lunges across two courts and rest. Then return to the starting point. Coach must emphasize proper form and slow speed.
